I Don’t Limit You – Don’t Limit Me

November 20, 2013

Shocking. In a world where women are challenged every single day for being a mother AND a career-oriented person, there are still women out there who do not support the lifestyle choices of other women. Say whaaaaaa? Makes no sense, I tell ya. No sense. Sheeeesh!!

There have been several moments in my life where people have told me, either directly or indirectly, that I’m “at capacity” and that I can’t go beyond what I’ve already done. They set an imaginary limit on me – accusing me of being incapable because of my life’s personal, not-related-to-professional, choices.

Why set a limit on me?

First, if you know anything about me, that limit will spark a productive fire in my little self. Second, that sparked fire never goes out. It builds.

In the words of Michael Scott, “You have no idea how high I can fly.” 🙂

This may have held a personal story but do not doubt that this message can and should speak to all young/old/new/seasoned professionals that are seeking to have it all.

Note: YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL! Do not let anyone tell you different.

Don’t let others make you feel or believe that you must fit into a small box with a single focus. Doesn’t sound like any fun anyway.
