Words for the Week: A Leap of Faith

July 3, 2013

Okay, okay, I’m a little tardy to the party with Words for the Week, but better late than never! I was driving in my car last weekend jamming out to the Wicked soundtrack, thinking about the past week’s events and looking towards new goals, challenges and events in the upcoming days. As I was listening to the soundtrack, a lyric that I have heard a million times before stuck out like none other:Words for the Week :: Leap of Faith #EatSleepMarketPerfect. So many times in life we doubt ourselves and go against our gut instinct. We take that timid step back, don’t speak up or share thoughts, and let a moment pass us by. Why? If we go with a decision that we feel in our heart, in our gut, is right, what’s the worst that could happen? I often wonder if the rejection would be worse than living in the unknown. So, instead of second-guessing myself, I decided to take those leaps of faith this week in all aspects of life. Just going for it. And I’ve had some rather positive outcomes, both in a personal and professional sense.

From trying a new way of looking at food [ which I will save for a later post!] to meeting two inspiring women taking their leaps of faith in a new business venture, I realized that by saying no or even saying nothing, it will only hurt me.

What’s your ‘leap of faith’ this week?

Have a great week! Happy 4th of July!
