Words for the Week + Weekly Wishes #4

Take a Chance :: #EatSleepMarket

Arg. I’m running a bit behind this week. This three day weekend kicked my butt, sir. Big. Time. All the more reason to get these darn goals down and start sharing with the universe. And share the words for the week. I love these guys. Deciding what they will be isn’t always the easiest, but I’m always up for the challenge… for taking chances.

Taking chances could be my maiden name…

I come from a long line of chance-takers. As a result, I zero in on that necessary strength and courage to just jump in and see what happens. Not a chance-taker? That’s okay. Really. But I encourage you to take just one chance this week {of what’s left of it – Hurry!}. And instead of imagining the worst that could happen, think this instead:

“What is the best possible outcome if I were to take this chance?”

Go for it. Make that outcome possible!

If you must think about “the worst”, be sure to cross off failure from that list. Taking a chance erases the failure. You succeeded in trying. And that is an immeasurable accomplishment often not appreciated.

With that said, I’m taking my chances with a few more weekly wishes…

It’s been one month + 6 days since I did my weekly wishes. Ho hum. I must say though, having these little beautiful reminders in my ear all week definitely keeps my motivation on the rise.

lastweekwishes…or last month’s wishes.

+finish my nice list. Completed!

+try again to grab a pinterest recipe for dinner. Completed! Crowd-pleaser!

+1 hour a day for personal reflection. I think if I put a time on it, it’s a more manageable, achievable, accountable goal. Yes, and still working on this!!Β

Weekly Wishes :: #EatSleepMarket +stay strong on that morning wake-up call.Β I’ve been floundering a bit on my 5 a.m. alarm. It’s early but it’s the best time, seriously. It took a while for me to get used to it, and with the holidays and the yadda yadda yadda, I’ve been snoozing that sucker. Need to knock that off.

+load up my Kindle with awesomeness. A few guilty pleasures were added, but when I read this BuzzFeed, there were a few forgotten favorites that deserve a “do over” plus some new interests that need discovering.

+revisit my intentions and throw-aways. Am I staying my course? Checking in with myself!

    I have been working on taking chances the past 6 months as well, and it’s been pretty rewarding to see the fruits of those labors :). Every time I get bored with what we’ve been eating for dinner, I go to Pinterest. I have a board for stuff I want to make, and stuff I have made if you’re interested in checking those out. We’ve also been doing veggie spaghetti recently – sautee red, orange peppers, onions, zucchini, and olives, then just a regular old jar of sauce to mix in, basil leaves, and parm and it’s so good. Easy way to eat veggies without really noticing πŸ˜‰

    Loved reading your blog entry…just what I needed on this lazy Saturday with very little motivation! I just uploaded my Weekly Wishes so don’t worry about being late : ) I continue to hit my snooze button every morning (and it’s at 7:30 am…so much later than yours!) Thanks for including the Buzzfeed list. I’m trying to read more books for fun this year! I’ve already completed 3 this month so I’m feeling quite positive. I HIGHLY recommend “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green (or really anything by John Green). All his books are amazing and as a cancer survivor, “The Fault in Our Stars” really touched me! Good luck with all your goals this week!!! xoxoxo

      Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll definitely look at that one. Congrats on your amazing win! Cancer has touched our family as well and it certainly is a struggle, to say the least. I started “Wild”, and I’m enjoying it so far. Hope you have a fantastic (late start) Saturday πŸ˜‰
