Father’s Day

father's day | oopsie doopsie blog

I’m late on the post but not on the sentiment. You can bet your bootie we try our best to celebrate this dude every day of our lives because father’s day shouldn’t just be one day a year. These fellas, my dad included, do a million and one little things every single day to make sure we are ready to take on just about anything … and if it’s something we can’t handle, I’m sure dad can lend the helping hand.

But I’m thankful to have one big, fat day dedicated to the dudes that do so much for all of us.

Thank you to my dad. Thank you to my bubbs. (And thank you to bubbs and my sweet girl for sharing their expressions on the daily with me …)

Happy Father’s Day …

To the fellas that will always stand (or sit) by our side when we need reassurance or an extra squeeze. When we aren’t feeling like ourselves or think we don’t deserve to smile, you always come in to remind us – whether we really want it or not. Your annoyance does NOT go unnoticed … and I guess it’s appreciated. 🙂

To the fellas that share in the art of the scary face … and are there to protect us against the worst of moments. We go through hard, HARD times together. You help us realize that no mountain is so big that we can’t overcome it. We can concur much. Oh, so much.FullSizeRender_1

To the fellas that tell us to go for our dreams … to become true-life heroes to and for others. Because of you, our confidence grows, and we dare to be different. We dare to do what we often think only exists in our imagination. FullSizeRender_2

To the fellas that allow us to have heartfelt feelings and even stronger opinions … for allowing us to be strong willed, stomp away (either down the hall or across the country), slam a door (literally … or not!) and be alone for a while. But when we come back, you’re still there and you still support us.FullSizeRender

To the fellas for just loving us. We get that we can be oh-so tough to love at times. We get that from you! KIDDING! (Sort of.) Thank you for never slowing down, always caring and making days better. You rock, dad.FullSizeRender
