Words for the Week: Why?

October 13, 2013

Words for the week. I always seem to stick around a similar theme. A tad inspirational, definitely motivational, and always sincere. Main reason: let’s go into the week with fervor and force. Why go into it  thinking, “Oh great, it’s Monday.” Case of the Mondays. Blah, blah, blah. Excuse is played out and OVER.

Let’s put on a happy face, shall we?

Another reason, on a more personal note, I learned through several life experiences [which seemed to conclude important chapters of my life and giving way to incredible new beginnings] the deep appreciation I’m gifted every moment I wake up in the morning. I’m gifted the family and friends I can reach out to, the work I can perform and the successes I can enjoy on a daily basis.

Sure, we have our days when it may seem harder than others to lift those covers in the morning and face the world. Who doesn’t? I’m not saying those don’t come around once in a while. However, we have a choice in the matter. We choose whether to fall into the deep trap of nasty or move beyond it. Let’s get behind it and be prepared with an attitude that is ready to crush those negative, icky emotions.

Wipe off the bad and let’s get down to business with the positive, whether that means a daily affirmation, a run, a laugh with family and friends, a great cup of coffee, or a good book.

So, let’s do this! Have a great week, all!
