Week in Review: New Beginnings

January 5, 2014

Hold on. I’m steering in a new direction this week for my review. Since this was the first week of 2014, my daily reads have continued to challenge me {and other readers} to reflect on the past and look towards the future. We’ve typed up our goals, documented those greatest hits and now we are left with this idea that we must forge ahead, making this the best year ever. Well, that’s an amazingly wonderful thought – one that I love to hold onto and treasure – but the reality of it is this: Not every day in 2014 will be perfect. This year may not be the best ever.

However, that doesn’t mean it won’t be filled with those spectacular individuals in my life that I am privileged to call my friends and family. It doesn’t mean that it will be any less special or fewer memories will be created and cherished. It doesn’t mean that I will allow someone else’s idea of “perfect” dictate what I believe to be ideal for me.

The sun will rise and set on another day, and I will be eternally grateful for the gifts I’m provided. And I will walk into each day with the thought that I will do my best. Always.

2014 will be filled with greatness.

With that said, I would love to share a few wonderful women that I have come across in this great wide web world over the past few recent months. They will share hardships, successes, strategies, love, friendship and everything in between – leading us through a year of greatness, not perfection.

Enjoy, my friends!
