New Year. New Beginnings.

January 12, 2013

It’s been a while. Who are we kidding. Six months is longer than a while, but I must say that the time away was nothing short of life changing. I became a mom. During the last post, I was nearing my third trimester. In September, we welcomed our beautiful daughter. And since then, nothing has been the same. Amazing. Exhausting. Exhilarating. Fillled with love, tears, hugs, giggles, and the best moments of life. And as we watch the dust start to settle, and life begins to get back on a schedule, I decided to revisit something that was part of my former self, something that I enjoyed, something that is still a part of me and will always be.

My amazing, perfect daughter 🙂

Writing isn’t just a hobby but an enjoyment. And the fact that I chose to write about all things marketing provides you with a little bit of what makes me tick on the professional side of things. However, being that is January, and we just concluded the first full week of the new year, I figure it might be good to have a resolution or two for my first born, my blog.

I will continue to provide timely industry related content, however along with this information, which is primary and absolutely one of my favorites, I will share insights into my “other side”. After all, there are two sides to every coin, and like me, I would not be complete without mine. Therefore, I will devote time to sharing random happenings, exciting moments, and perhaps a new recipe or two, which brings me to resolution number two.

With my new editorial calendar in mind, I will find the time to devote to writing. After all, as Liv Tyler said in “Empire Records”, there are 24 usable hours in every day. And as someone who truly believes this statement, there is no reason why I can’t find a few moments to spend with you and share the day. Ideally, I would love to touch this before midnight, but I make no promises. However, I will try to publish at least once a day. Here goes nothing!

So, there you have it. My plan for the new year. I’m excited to jump back in and exercise my writing muscles in a new way. Look forward to chatting again!
