Week in Review: Fall in Full Swing

October 28, 2013

Our little fair skinned family couldn’t be happier that the fall season ushered in this past weekend. Cooler nights and beautiful, crisp days filled with an abundance of fall activities fit our needs and personalities perfectly! This past week allowed us to prepare a bit for the upcoming Halloween holiday and enjoy those things that are just perfectly fall.

First, you can’t go wrong with pumpkin ale. Blue Moon has a very light and refreshing taste, and I recommend it, definitely! We made our way to the pumpkin patch and grabbed a variety. Mads picked out a few “spookies” that were just her size! I was never a ‘carver’ – Sharpies worked just as good for me! And I was too busy cleaning up the pumpkin seed goodness so I could roast these suckers into amazing tastiness. Italian seasoning. Yummm. On a early morning, Maddie Cakes and I were busy making banana mini-muffins. She’s an amazing helper and growing up too fast. Slow down!! Ugh. And of course, my main squeeze never fails to surprise me with beautiful blooms. It seems like every week… It’s funny to think about and how it could grow {pun intended ;)} into a story to tell our grandchildren…how their grandfather would bring me flowers almost every week “just because”. *gush*

Okay, enough of me – I want to hear from you! How are you celebrating the beginning of fall and the Halloween season??
