Choosing Better

June 3, 2014

So, it was one of those Sunday mornings where the parents woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but the little misses didn’t seem to care or mind because she was her usual ray of brightness and joy. God love her. I can always count on her smile.

Choose Better :: Eat. Sleep. Market.

The “wrong side of the bed” feeling resulted from a very real series of events that would normally crush me into a stress ball of a mess. And, I did feel the little bits of ugly start to creep in. However, in moments of high stress, we always have a choice. We can choose to either be totally overtaken by the nonsense, act immature, do ridiculous things and say inappropriate comments, ultimately hurting those we love, including yourself … or … we can choose better. Even if choosing better is simply walking away or taking a deep breath or running 2 really fast miles, the outcome will {hopefully} be positive. You’ll gain perspective, taking time to chill out. Because we all need that once in a while.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

LOVE! Sometimes I can get so wrapped up in my to do list I become soo frustrated. The girls are really the only ones who can get me out of my funk.

Definitely agree. It’s amazing how our children are just rays of light through it all.
