An Open Letter To Kate Spade’s Digital Marketing Folks

An Open Letter to Kate Spade's Digital Marketers - Thank You :: eat. sleep. market.

Dear digital marketing guys & gals at kate spade,

I will try to make this short and sweet.

To say that I simply enjoy your digital marketing would be an understatement.

I adore how your {sometimes} daily emails march into my inbox with friendly, and clearly ‘kate spade’ styled, subject lines. Before I even click to open the message, I know I’m in for an experience. Whether in the design or animation, the products are brought to life and bring a welcomed smile to my face {and marketing heart}.

On the website last week, small videos accompanied your featured items on the main product pages. Although I was simply window shopping and not looking to make a purchase, I stayed on the page…and just loved it. I watched each short video. Adoring the items in action.

I won’t go too much into your social accounts…because you know what you do. You provide amazing imagery that allows us to appeal to your brand first. We love the heart and soul you are offering. The lifestyle. The story behind the products. The products are the details within the story – the cherry on top of the cake – and we can’t wait to have it all. Or figure out how we can have it all. Because we do and we will – and we come to you with all of our questions, stories and comments.

But where are you?

Right there with us – participating actively in the conversation. Filling us in on the latest fashion find, an insider’s secret to perfect entertaining or a behind the scenes peak of what you do. All done with grace, whimsy and fun.

And I share these items not as a fellow marketer but as a consumer. Really. Truly. Honestly.

Thank you for not just selling but providing the ultimate experience.

Ann

That experience comes at no cost. Enjoy it regardless 🙂
